I work with materials that have been discarded and manmade objects discovered in the natural world, washed up on the beaches of Rhode Island and places that I have visited.  I enjoy making collages and three-dimensional assemblages with the items to give them a new purpose.  The wide variety of found objects come with evidence of their history and nature’s effects serve as a reminder of our tenuous relationship with the world we live in.  I am interested the exploring the relationship of memories with these mostly mundane artifacts and invite the viewer to examine the personal memories that the pieces recall.
